Re: Pull my .gif into an exe - or rather, multiple gifs to rid green screen...

Is it possible to build an exe to remove the green from animated .gifs? Yes, if you want. An input animated gif can be split into frames, then each frame processed however you want, then put back into an output animated gif. It may be easier to build a BAT drag-and-drop script. If you have bash, th...

Re: Converting Multiple Files with Imagemagick Convert

The single quotes are not needed when using bash. But when using Windows, they are positively wrong. Remove them.

Cross-posted: you got it.

Re: Converting Multiple Files with Imagemagick Convert

What version of IM, on what platform?

Remove the double-quote " .

Provided all your *.png images will fit into your memory at once, it should then work.

Re: Converting SVG to Image ignores text

I can only set one font, how is it possible to use several one (f.e. in a order), the Font-family in the svg is ignored. The proper solution is to change some configuration so your PHP process can access your installed fonts. Using "-font" in IM will allow use of only one font. The quality is reall...

backslashes in label:

From thread https://www.imagemagick.org/discourse-server/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=37723 Backslashes in "label:" are not rendered, whether "+antialias" is used or not. This seems to be a bug. For example: magick -pointsize 20 label:"C:/my\dir\file.ext" backslash.png http://snibgo.com/imforums/backslash.pn...

Re: Reduce canvas size non-destructively

PNG files have metadata for canvas size. IM reads and writes these. Gimp ignores them when reading, and won't write to them.

Re: Reduce canvas size non-destructively

I just want to be able to produce a file where the image information is larger than the canvas size. It seems not possible with IM. In ImageMagick terms, that is easy: magick toes.png -page 30x40+10+20 x.png magick x.png info: x.png PNG 267x233 30x40+10+20 16-bit sRGB 320296B 0.031u 0:00.035 x.png ...

Re: Batch resizing of canvas centering the images

What version of IM do you have? If v6, use "convert" instead of "magick".

Re: PNG quality after conversion

For PNG, the "-quality" setting has no impact on quality. It affects filesize only. It controls some parameters used for compression. Those parameters are not stored in the file, so IM cannot reconstruct the quality setting that was used.

As far as I know, IM has no security mechanism for directory access.

Operating systems do.

Re: mark empty row in a column to avoid mixup in tesseract output

In theory, you could identify the three columns by blurring vertically and finding the white gaps. Then find each row of text by the same method. This gives you all the cells. Each cell is empty or contains text. Replace empty cells with a same-size image containing "X". Then rebuild the image by ap...

Re: Problem with removing the background by clipping path

Code: Select all

exiftool -args -ClippingPathName *.jpg
That should do it, but I don't have any multi-clip-path files to test it on.

Perhaps there is a problem with the code that does this.

Code: Select all

magick in.png -gravity center -background None -extent 110x110% out.png
You can use any background colour you want.
