Actually I think it is a curve in the paper itself. which is why I do not think barrel will fix the problem. A more general approach is needed, which is why I suggested polynomial. A 1.5 order polynomial may not be enough. That is only bilinear. You may need a much higher order, 2 many be 3, with a even larger number of control points.
