Re: Help cropping a series of images in a series of subfolders

You could have just one "magick mogrify", within a "for" loop. So it would loop through all the subdirectories of "F:\Satellite Imagery\goes16\fd\NOMAP\". At each subdirectory, it would call "magick mogrify" with a loop variable instead of that part of the path.

See "help for" for help on "for".

Re: Help cropping a series of images in a series of subfolders

What directory do you run that script from? Before the "REM magick mogrify", none of the commands read files from the current directory, or write files to the current directory. I suspect your current directory contains no *.jpg files, and that is why it fails. I suggest your insert the command "dir...

When you run the script, are you in the correct directory?

Re: Performance issue with CCITT TIFF

Your v6 build is integer, but your v7 build is HDRI (floating-point). I expect that makes a significant performance difference.

Please paste the text output from "convert -version" and "magick -version" for the two versions.

Re: Doubt Related to MagickWand

In my opinion: you should always trap exceptions. If MagickWandGenesis() or MagickWandTerminus() fails, the program probably can't do much else so should report the error and fail (gracefully). The other functions might fail because memory can't be allocated, or an input file can't be found, or what...

Re: 7.0.7 EPS to PNG conversion

Why have you switched to such an old version of Ghostscript? You reduce the number of colours, perhaps to grayscale, with "-depth 4". Do you really want that? Try removing it. If that doesn't help, please show your current command, and the input EPS, and your IM version, and the text output from "-v...

Re: How to Crop Pixels?

On "-shave", see https://www.imagemagick.org/script/comm ... .php#shave . This removes some amount from both left and right, and some other amount from both top and bottom. But that's not what you want.

Code: Select all

magick in.png -gravity West -chop 250x0 -gravity East -chop 350x0 out.png

You could add an entry to delegates.xml that calls dcraw with suitable arguments. Personally, I call dcraw directly to write a tiff, then read that tiff in IM.

Re: Installed ImageMagick But no delegates

The failure seems to be in /usr/bin/ld , which I suppose is called by gcc. It can't build even a trivial program.

Sorry, I don't know what the problem is. Perhaps the compiler toolset needs to be re-installed.

"white1" is not a valid named colour. For a list of named colours, see "magick -list color".

Re: Help cropping a series of images in a series of subfolders

"magick mogrify" can crop all the files in one directory, writing outputs to another. "magick" can read all the cropped images and write an animated gif, provided you have enough memory for all the cropped images. The rest is BAT scripting. "dir /ad F:\Satellite Imagery\goes16\fd\NOMAP\* /o-n /b >my...

Re: 7.0.7 EPS to PNG conversion

The last thing in the command should be the output filename, not "-debug all" or "-verbose". If you want those options, put them at the start.
