Re: Error file convert DCM

What version of IM, on what platform?

A developer will probably need to examine a sample input file.

Re: Store results of "convert" to variable in windows batch script

A Windows BAT script:

Code: Select all

for /F "usebackq" %%L in (`magick ^
  identify -ping -format "width=%%w\nheight=%%h" ^
  picture.jpg`) do set %%L
This sets the variables named "width" and "height".

Re: Confusion regarding percent escape handling

What version of IM? If v7, I suggest you use "magick", not "convert". "convert" is v6 syntax, which is more restrictive. As far as I know, the only escapes that IM will interpret in output filenames are: 1: %d, %04d, %o, %04o, %x, %04x etc: a sequential number, base 10 or 8 or 16, optionally with le...

Re: Any recom for HDR (6x2EV) and batch proc?

You are doing fine: you have a 16-bit integer image, in XYZ space. I suggest you try "magick identify -verbose IMG_0106.tiff" to check it has an embedded XYZ profile. It should have. Now convert it to linear RGB space: magick ^ IMG_0106.tiff ^ -set colorspace XYZ ^ -profile sRGB-elle-V4-g10.icc ^ -s...

Re: Any recom for HDR (6x2EV) and batch proc?

Features: Cipher DPC Modules OpenMP So you don't have HDRI. This means that internally IM will store pixel values as integers, in the range 0 to 65535 because you have Q16. This is bad news for HDR images. I strongly suggest you get a HDRI build. For Windows, you can download a pre-built binary wit...

Re: Combining multipage Tiffs with "2 dimension"

image1.tif and image2.tif both contain ten images. All are 1024x1024, grayscale, no alpha. They all have only one channel. They contain a property comment: Properties: comment: ImageJ=1.52h images=10 channels=2 frames=5 hyperstack=true mode=color loop=false min=601.0 max=14308.0 I don't know what "c...

Re: Any recom for HDR (6x2EV) and batch proc?

The Google problem might be because I'm not "signed in" to Google. I can see your web site on Google with no problem. Thanks for your notes on building IM with my filters. I'll read your comments carefully, and may modify my webpages accordingly. Re the crescent moon: in the brightest image, there i...

Re: DNG to JPG results in distorted image.

According to exiftool, sample_1-1.DNG has a main image 4252x2835 pixels, 3 channels/pixel, JPEG compression, photometric interpretation linear raw. ImageMagick v7.0.8-64, using libraw, misreads the file. I resize and save to jpg just for web convenience: magick -verbose sample_1-1.DNG -resize 600x60...

Re: Combining multipage Tiffs with "2 dimension"

"Channel" normally means a component of each pixel: the red channel, or alpha channel, etc. But you seem to mean something different.

Please paste a link to a TIFF file that has "2 channels and 5 frames".

Re: Identify Returning Incorrect Height Value For Animated GIFs

DarseZ wrote:...almost as if the 450 and the 800 from the next field were being joined together. That's probably crazy.
That's not crazy. That's correct. Try:

Code: Select all

identify -ping -format "%%w %%h" yourfile.gif
... to see what is happening.

You could insert a space after %%h if you want.

Re: Identify Returning Incorrect Height Value For Animated GIFs

I suggest you run your identify command by itself. You will see why your script doesn't do what you want.

Hint: I suppose you only want the dimension of the first frame, not all the frames.

Re: DNG to JPG results in distorted image.

As Fred says, please post a link to the DNG file. It is possible that IM or libraw is misreading the file. As far as I know, IM will assume a DNG file is a camera-raw file (eg a mosaiced image) but your file isn't. It contains a number of images (as DNG files often do), but the main image seems to b...

Re: How to tile and resize?

What version of IM, on what platform?

With IM v7.0.8-64, replacing your "convert" with "magick", and your "composite" with "magick composite", it works fine, with tile and resize. If you want to resize original.png before tiling, put that in parentheses:

Code: Select all

 ... ( original.png -resize 1024x ) ...
