... the feedback! Will try to make a 64 bits map then. The workflow you mentioned is out of my abilities to do in IM. Is is possible to do the same in Photoshop? I googled a lot the past 2 weeks, but dit not find any tutorial on creating absolute and relative maps in PS. We managed to make the SVG ...

Re: Wrapping effect using Imagick
Thanks Snigbo, will make a displacement map on Photoshop for your '"Coffee mug" and send the results here. I have a developer working on the SVG filter, so I need to make sure the map is correct so he can properly test his filter implementation. ...

Re: Wrapping effect using Imagick
Yep fred, your script are insane! But I need a simple workflow to setup in Photoshop (because it's the only tool I know) and then just upload it. For me is not a problem to create it manually in PS. What I wanted to know is that if I created the map correctly, ...

Re: Wrapping effect using Imagick
Hey guys, I just tried to create an absolute displacement map: 1- The goal is to replicate this label wrapping i did in Photoshop https://gyazo.com/6a5ec4c21719c027e7ed96b896249c88 2- So I replaced the label (smart object) with this absolute displacement map https://gyazo.com/97bffa36bcb409ec6d84c9083f832e92 ...

Re: Wrapping effect using Imagick
How can i do that? Exporting a Photoshop raster layer displacement map, and then setting this layer up as "displacement" on ImageMagick? In principle, sure. For example, take an identity absolute displacement map, distort that ...

Re: Wrapping effect using Imagick
Got it. So assuming I already have done the manual displacement in Photoshop, the simplest approach would be to replicate that on ImageMagick, right? How can i do that? Exporting a Photoshop raster layer displacement map, and then setting this layer up as ...

The ray-tracer technique gives correct results with no effort on my part. The math technique gives nearly-correct ...

Re: The Math Behind Photoshop's Unsharp Mask and Gaussian Blur
I'm unsure which of your scripts you mean. When you use "-evaluate-sequence add" to add O and GB and the third term, all three terms are always positive, so you need to subtract the third term. I had one computation earlier on where I added -define clamp=off but had added the third term. ...
