I found the folks who hang out here are not too helpful; it's a shame.

I can't help you directly since I'm a bit of a newbe myself.

Here's what I do with problems like yours. First, I spend some time trying similar example from here. http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/graphics/imagick6/

Then, I go here and try my commands.

The second link is an interesting site ridera.

I agree with your coments about people not being very helpful on this forum and I hear it a lot when discussing ImageMagick on other forums.

I want to use ImageMagick with php and I am not sure if the moderators etc. actualy know much about how to do that them selfs as they do not seem to reply to that sort of post.

I decided to put together some examples of how to do things on my website and so far have got everything to work except anything to do with text which was my original reason for looking into this.

The section is still very rough but I am adding some bits and pieces as and when I can try them out. If you can think of something to add or have any coments please let me know.

Your right about the php stuff. I posted a piece a few weeks ago on the subject.

I've put together some extensive php code that is readily modifiable you can have to post on your site.

I'm short of time today; but, will work on it tomorrow.

I'll send you a PM tomorrow.

See the ImageMagick home page http://www.imagemagick.org/. There is a new book coming out this month (June) that discusses ImageMagick and PHP quite extensively with plenty of examples.

Yes I found that link last week magick; I still can not understand why anything to do with text will not work on my server setup.

It seems like quite a few people want to work with ImageMagick and php but there do not seem to be many people who know how it works.

I have been trying a lot of the examples and getting most of them to work and have put some of examples up on my site along with some code. It is a bit of a mess and needs tidying up a bit.

I had another brainwave this weekend and do have a method to watermark an image with text; it is a bit longwinded but will work. When I am happy that it works properly I will put the code onto my website.
