Magick montage

I made an interesting (magick ?) montage: every image row has the same height, furthermore average image luminosities were taken into account when determining the place of the images, here is the result:

Click on the image for higher resolution. Brighter images were placed at two sides in the rows, darker ones in the middle. The rows also were sorted by their average luminosity in the same way.

Was this a result of a script or manual processing? If the former, would you like to share?

Script of course, Ruby script was used, not manually. When script is made to more user friendly, I will share.
