We run the regression tests before an ImageMagick release and they must all pass. Some of the regression tests require certain delegate libraries and programs to pass. Perhaps you do not have these. Some regression tests failing means a loss of functionality not that ImageMagick is broken. For example, if you do not have Ghostscript installed, Postscript regression tests will fail but other functionality is still available.
